What image first comes to mind when you think of winter? Bleak, dreary skies? Frozen hands and stone cold pavements? Does the colour grey play a recurring role in these images? It would seem fitting, as the sun rarely makes an appearance.
However, on the rare occasion that it is, do you think of orange? Streaks of it, among other colours, spread for miles across the sky as the sun sets. It highlights the fog above snow-capped mountains, making them seem ablaze. Such evenings are hard to come by during these months but if you happen to be out on a walk on the right day, it’s quite the sight to behold.
